NEW! CHAI Blog

Razia Kosi, Executive Director

Hello CHAI Supporters!

And hello 2012!  As we enter the new year, CHAI is excited to take on new projects, new partnerships, and new members (both board and volunteer).  As part of that goal, we are exploring ways to update our technological impact on our key groups.  CHAI is now on Twitter, look to the menu on the right to follow us and get your McUpdates on CHAI happenings throughout the day.  Also, check back here often as our blog will be used as a forum to tap into the vast expertise of our membership base through introductions to providers, as well as member submitted articles.

Past and Present Board Members

In case you’re new to CHAI (or need a refresher), CHAI is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide outreach, referral and educational services to the South Asian community on issues related to mental health and wellness in the Baltimore / Washington metropolitan area. CHAI also works with mental health professionals and social services agencies to increase their cultural proficiency when working with the South Asian community.  Check out some things we’ve done in the past at our website.

If you’re not currently affiliated with us, take a moment to fill in the form below so we can add you to our listserv.  Add a note about yourself and how you would like to become involved.  We can’t wait to hear from you!

We have a lot planned this year, including an upcoming dinner/fundraising event in Silver Spring, board meetings, professional presentations, and, of course, our Annual Awards.

All smiles at our 'La Palapa, Too' outreach event - join us at our next one!

We’d love to hear from you or see you at an event or meeting so make it your resolution this year to take on a more active role in the organization.  Please post comments to this article and give us YOUR ideas for CHAI in 2012.

A Happy & Healthy New Year from your friends at CHAI.
