Hello Friends and Colleagues,
Please consider filling out the survey if you are a South Asian or South Asian American parent and forward on your networks. CHAI is involved with this project and very interested in working to give voice to South Asian parenting in this country. Stay tuned with will also be holding webinars, discussions and focus groups in the future based on the results of the survey!
As part of a project funded by the Asian American Psychological Association-American Psychological Foundation Okura Mental Health Grant, we are collaborating to address the needs of South Asian parents in the United States. We plan to develop and distribute informational brochures and create virtual and in-person seminars on parenting, specifically highlighting issues unique to South Asian culture.
In order for us to do this, we first have to know the issues and concerns on the minds of South Asian parents. Please click the link below to take a brief (less than 10 mins) survey on South Asian parenting. Parents of children of all ages (infancy to young adulthood) can complete the survey.
Please share this survey with other South Asian and South Asian American parents. Your answers will help us determine the parenting topics that South Asian parents want to hear more about.
Stay tuned for more information on parenting groups and online seminars for 2012-2013! Please email us if you have any questions.
